Our first afforestation works started in Karacabey Kıranlar village in 2005, and then continued in Kedikaya, Dağesemen and Akçakoyun villages, and since 2008, afforestation works have continued in Kızılköy Çetmi, Yenioba and Karagömlek villages of Çanakkale's Ezine district.
In Bursa Karacabey district, 500.9 hectares; In Çanakkale Ezine district, 808.8 hectares; Our work continues on a total of 1455.3 hectares of land, including 146.0 hectares, in Çanakkale Gelibolu district. Approximately 2.5 million saplings of maritime pine and red pine species have been planted until 2023.
After the final afforestation work of 60 hectares of the first period is carried out in 2023, land preparation and sapling planting will be carried out again in approximately 60-70 hectares of land that will be cleared by clearcutting to be carried out every year starting from 2033.
To date, in order to combat possible forest fires in the afforestation areas, which have been made entirely with coniferous species, and to irrigate the almond fields, 1 soil pond, 2 concrete water tanks and 3 concrete pools have been built that can be taken by helicopter. Before the fire season begins, all roads, including fire safety roads and lanes, are maintained.
